Gavin Bonnet
Managing Director and Head of EMEA Business Management and Controls
Prior to embarking on his executive search career, Gavin worked as an economist on Phillips and Drew's South-East Asian desk. He then went on to spend some 6 years in derivatives sales. A founder-member of Correlate Search, Gavin has developed a particular expertise in risk and compliance and all areas of corporate governance. He is a graduate of the City of London School of Business.
Simon Head Managing Director and Head of Global Markets
Simon Head is responsible for Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange. Before entering executive search, Simon worked at Citibank and JP Morgan. He joined Correlate Search (then known as Alexander Mann Financial Markets) in 1998 in order to help build the firm’s operations practice. In 2002, he established the firm’s FX practice and has an extensive track record of placements in G10 & local currency trading, FX & EM structuring, Institutional & Corporate FX Sales, EM Product sales, and FX & EM Strategy. He was also responsible, in 2004, for project-managing the build-out of Correlate’s EMEA research product. Simon holds an MSc Economics and a degree in French & Economics.
Niall MacDonald
Managing Director, Hong Kong
Niall joined Correlate in 2009 to expand the practice in Asia. He has broad market experience and has completed searches in equities, debt, investment banking, structured finance, asset management and private banking in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Previously he spent five years at Whitney Group (Asia) and latterly was Head of Asia Pacific throughout 2008. Before joining Whitney, he was a Partner and Head of the Fixed Income and Structured Products division for Odgers Ray & Berndtson and The Berwick Group in London. Before entering search, he worked in the corporate finance teams at County NatWest and Charterhouse in London. He began his career in Johannesburg, initially for a law firm and then in the corporate finance division of Barclays National Merchant Bank. He is a Barrister-at-Law and a member of King's Inns, Dublin and Grays Inn, London.
Russell Kopp
Managing Director, Hong Kong
Russell joined Correlate Search in 2009 to expand our Global Markets and Wealth Management practices in Asia. Previously he spent a year at Whitney Group, where he transitioned into search after 20 years on the sell-side. Equity research was his primary focus, but he also held roles in equities sales, corporate finance/M&A, strategic planning and senior management. He has over a decade of Asian experience in Hong Kong, China, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, India and Pakistan, in addition to roles in London and the US. He was educated at the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and Manchester Business School's MBA programme.
